Lingering

There's a particular kind of joy in waiting for something you want. In the anticipation, the imagining, the delicious uncertainty of not knowing quite when it'll arrive.

Lingering holds a moment suspended between longing and possibility, when the wait itself is almost as glowing as what you're waiting for.
